The Dan-ag Literary Journal of Central Visayas is a journal of contemporary literatures and visual arts from or about the islandic Central Visayas region — Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor. The name of the journal means “glow” or “gleam” and is befitting of its mission: the revisiting and celebrating of the Visayan identity. Themed “rebirth,” its maiden issue will be launched on January 2019.
Dan-ag Literary Journal of Central Visayas editorial board is composed of Rudy Aviles (editor for drama), CD Borden (editor for fiction), Johanna Michelle Lim (editor for essay and creative nonfiction), and Cindy Velasquez (editor for poetry). R Joseph Dazo serves as the general editor. Other writers and artists from the region will serve as journal consultants.
The journal is a project of the Libulan Queer Collective, a network of writers from the southern Philippines.
