Johanna Michelle Lim is an essayist and travel writer based in Cebu City. After university, she became involved in advocacies like poverty alleviation and education, during which she started her long excursions around the Philippines and Southeast Asia. She has been a fellow at the 54th Silliman University National Writers’ Workshop and has a forthcoming work at Mindanao Odysseys: A Collection of Travel Essays on Mindanao. She will launch her first collection of travel essays this February 2018 called What Distance Tells Us.

This 16 December 2017, writers collective Nagkahiusang Magsusulat sa Cagayan de Oro (NAGMAC) will launch three titles—Christian S Baldomero’s “When The World Offers You Loneliness”, Adeva Jane Esparrago’s “Do Not Fall In Love With A Poet: Collected Spoken Word Poems (2013-2017)”, and Melrein John Viado’s “Mula Sa Ikatlong Palapag: Mga Piling Tula”—under its publication arm Bulawan Books.
